November Days

Well, I feel like I'm cheating on Thanksgiving this year. I seem to be going right into Christmas, which is probably just about right, since it takes me days to decorate. But I do love Thanksgiving...OK, I promise to give it at least three days of my undivided attention--two for cooking and one for eating. OK, four days, two for cooking and two for eating! But after that, it's ALL Christmas ALL the time!

I have been diligently listing new collage sheets and fairy slippers in my etsy shoppes, here's a sneak peek:

And here's a little freebie from one of my collage sheets:

Goodbye October

I trust that you all had a happy Halloween. I'm packing the Halloween decs away, although I will miss them, I had a blast creating for Halloween this year. I loved doing Kari's "Best Halloween Ever" and "Sweet and Sinister Swap", if she does it again next year, I highly recommend it!

I wanted to share a picture of the birthday cake composed of flowers my daughter sent me, deliciously flowery and worthy of Marie herself!

Marti and I have been busily creating fairy/Marie Antoinette slippers and were featured in the current issue of Stamper's Sampler. It's a bittersweet affair though, as Marti wasn't credited with the slippers she created. So here is a picture of the spread, with credits for the slippers each of us created:

And we were featured in another Etsy treasury, included with some wonderful Marie delights, which you can view here:

Both slippers and more can be found in our Etsy shoppe, PaperCreationsTwo!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Sweet and Sinister Swap 2

As promised, here is a pic of the lovely goodies that I received from Pam:
There's a cute, "stuft prim" black cat,
some terrific ephemera for more crafting,
some sinister skull ornaments all glittered up,
some fabulous buttons at least one of which I want to make into a ring,
a really cute altered tin filled with black candies,
and I love how she altered that silver tray!!
Thanks so much, Pam, I love it!

And here's something Sweet and Sinister for you:

Sweet and Sinister Swap

I have had so much fun doing Kari's Sweet and Sinister Swap this year! It's a private blog with lots of fun seasonal tutorials and also a swap with a black and white theme. We're to include at least one handmade item, one vintage item, one home decor item, something sinister and something sweet!
All in BLACK AND WHITE!
I just love themes and challenges, it makes you focus on things you may not have picked up on otherwise. I was assigned a sweet :) partner, Pam, and had lots of fun making, collecting and gathering things for her Sweet and Sinister package,
here's a peek at what I sent to her:

Just to be sinister and suspenseful ;),
I'll post the lovely goodies she sent to me...tomorrow!

Last Sunday, San Diego's Little Italy

held a Festa for Columbus Day Weekend, complete with large models of the Pinta, Nina and Santa Maria, gondola and gondoliers, and a
Gesso Italiano--Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Contest!
There were some amazing ones, here's a sample:

A little bit sad to think that they are just so much dust now. Ephemeral beauty.
Still there was Italian music, wonderful food, and arts and crafts for sale. Just a terrific day!
