Halloween Swaps!! Tinsel Trading Company!! Freebies!!

Hello Friends!

Hope you are having a lovely Fall!

I returned from my New England leaf peeping
to find these lovelies created by my swap partners waiting for me!
This bootiful spoolie doll and tag were created by Kimberly of artJOYstuff:

Look at this beautiful tag:

I LOVE them, thank you so much, Kimberly!

I received this lovely matchbox stuffed with goodies
from JoAnne of Vintage Dragonfly.
This is a picture of the top only:

I love this embellished skeleton hand!!

Thanks so much JoAnne, I love it all!!

My annual trip to Tinsel Trading Company
yielded a big disappointment this year.
I knew they had relocated to a different part of the city,
and I was looking forward to visiting them and see what's new.
Well, I almost walked right past them,
they have totally downsized :O

A shadow of their former self... whoa... that's pretty spooky, no?  ;)
Now, that is not to say that I didn't find anything to buy there, LOL!

But click on the following picture to go back to my post
from my 2012 trip to see how fabulous it used to be :(

OK.
Enough whining.

So....
The last week before Halloween, are you ready??

Halloween! Party! Treats!

Hello Friends!

I'm back!

Halloween fervor has taken hold,
and I've been on a roll,
making another spoolie doll
for my friend Rosa's birthday:

The images I use on the doll and coffin
are from Paper Whimsy,
I think they have just the right mysterious look for Halloween!
Plus I "gothed" them up a little with dark circles under the eyes
and burgundy lips ;)
The little BOO banner I got on Pinterest
from the Witch's Larder
Right click on the banner to save for your own use:

Here are all the coffins from my swap group:

And a close-up of Pam's over-the-top graveyard vignette:

These next photos are of our spooky treats:

Pam used edible food coloring and stamped right on these wonton wrappers:

OK, here is my dubious attempt to make Jack-o-lantern faces
on some pumpkin macarons:

And look at this sweet and simple Halloween packaging:

There's still plenty of time for Halloween crafting,
so here are some more images for you:

October! Halloween! Spoolie Dolls!

Hello Friends!

OMG, It's October!
Where does the time go?
Well, at least I can say, in part,
some of it really did go into my Halloween crafting.

This is my sample for a spoolie doll swap I'm hosting in MAMA:

Made from a large wooden spool on the bottom, festooning,
tinsel trim, a rosette, a skewer to support my little bat girl,
assorted embellishments and a cocktail umbrella!

After looking through my partner's beautiful blog,
I challenged myself to make her spoolie doll in whites, creams, and black:

I think the ripped netting behind the girl contributes a sinister look, don't you?
Hope she likes it!

In another swap I am in,
we are trading altered, embellished paper mache coffins:

Of course we are stuffing crafty goodies inside!  :)

This is a matchbox I made for my partner, JoAnne,
who is hosting a swap in her Vintage Dragonfly Matchbox group:
Again, crafty goodies inside!
One of the four handmade goodies we were to create
in addition to the matchbox is this little top hat box:

They are so fun to make, and, confidentially ;)
they are made from toilet paper rolls!! :D

I'm so behind on posting freebies
so here are some fun ones for you:

Don't these children look like they've just seen a ghost?  :D
