October! Halloween! Spoolie Dolls!

Hello Friends!

OMG, It's October!
Where does the time go?
Well, at least I can say, in part,
some of it really did go into my Halloween crafting.

This is my sample for a spoolie doll swap I'm hosting in MAMA:

Made from a large wooden spool on the bottom, festooning,
tinsel trim, a rosette, a skewer to support my little bat girl,
assorted embellishments and a cocktail umbrella!

After looking through my partner's beautiful blog,
I challenged myself to make her spoolie doll in whites, creams, and black:

I think the ripped netting behind the girl contributes a sinister look, don't you?
Hope she likes it!

In another swap I am in,
we are trading altered, embellished paper mache coffins:

Of course we are stuffing crafty goodies inside!  :)

This is a matchbox I made for my partner, JoAnne,
who is hosting a swap in her Vintage Dragonfly Matchbox group:
Again, crafty goodies inside!
One of the four handmade goodies we were to create
in addition to the matchbox is this little top hat box:

They are so fun to make, and, confidentially ;)
they are made from toilet paper rolls!! :D

I'm so behind on posting freebies
so here are some fun ones for you:

Don't these children look like they've just seen a ghost?  :D

The spoolies are wonderful!! Each one as adorable as the last. My favorite picture was the cat sitting on the moon, but they were all so terrific. Thank you for your visit!

I love all these wonderful creations! I would love to participate in some of the swaps. I live in Thousand Oaks. Just wondering if we are neighbors? Would you please let me know about any swaps that I might also be able to participate in? I am currently in a collaborative blog: Tag Tuesday. You would be a wonderful creative addition to our group if there's any room.
Have a wonderful autumn weekend, and thanks for linking up with Sunday View.
