Hello Friends!
It's November!
I really need to make this blog post today
to keep my hands busy
because I'm home...
all alone...
with the leftover Halloween candy!! :O
I recently participated in a swap
for the first time at Swap for All Seasons.
It's a monthly swap, with monthly themes and colors.
You make a card, a tag, and a bag of themed goodies!
This month's theme was "Birthday"
and the color was November Brown!
What a fun challenge!
The card I made:
And my tag:
I just received my package today from my swap partner,
and I will post pics next week.
Just a few pics from my leaf peeping trip to New England:
Then a stop in NYC for a few days.
Anthropologie, I love you, but wha???
These "rocks" are sculpted paper and painted:
I guess it's their riff on the Natural History Museum, but...
The ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center was up and running:
And, I risked getting reprimanded by taking this pic of a Marie Antoinette era
dress at the Metropolitan Museum of Art:
Like I'm not going to take a picture of that!
Its not super clear because I had to act fast! :)

These pics were taken in Lexington, MA.
I was afraid we would miss the peak season again,
especially since we went later this year than usual.
But no, I think we hit it just right!
Peak foliage is a complicated mix of summer rainfall, sunny/cloudy days,
daytime/nighttime temperatures, even windy days.
Last year there was a big rainy, windy storm just before we arrived,
which pretty much shook all the leaves off the trees. :(
But this year was sweet.
Then a stop in NYC for a few days.

Oh those creations are so gorgeous and the little wish tag is a delight.
What wonderful photographs, although you are making me wish I were there. I have only managed to visit New York once, for a birthday weekend which was brimming with memories for me. It is such a long trip but so worthwhile.
Wishes
Lynne
Beautiful photos. Thank yo for sharing the lovely ladies!
These are wonderful -- your swap partner is very lucky!
I know what you mean about being home and Halloween candy! And I loved your fall colors -- We do it well in Michigan but no one does it better than New England!
Thanks for the freebie images! (Oh! I DID get nailed taking pix at Musee d'Orsay... twice. Sigh...)
I just love your card and your tag! Happy Pink Saturday, I hope you are enjoying your weekend! Marti
Beautiful fall pictures. Love the card and tag - drool worthy indeed! Happy Pink Saturday!
Lorraine, I just wanted to say thanks for stopping by the Marmelade Gypsy -- and you're right -- Trader Joe's at the holidays is not to be missed! We don't have one in town; the nearest is about an hour -- and it's always my favorite field trip!
Wow, love both of those tags! Very creative. The Fall color is beautiful! What a wonderful trip. I dream of doing that same thing. Some day I will!
hugs,
Jann
Thanks for the nice comment you left on my Ludwigsburg Pumpkin Festival post! I love that Marie Antionette dress!

Whay a fun post! I have never been close enough to an Anthropologie to go, but have seen their fab displays on blogs. Those are incredible! Thanks so much for sharing with Pink Sat.
Ruth

I saw on MIM, hugs :)
My goodness...i can't believe you were in Lexington , MA. I'm the next town over!!! wow..it looks like you had an amazing time both here and in NYC. Give me a holler the next time you're in the area! ;)
I came over from MIM where I spotted your beautiful card, then I got to see the tag and all those inspirational photos as well! So glad I visited.
About your card - what really caught my eye was the colors. And I really liked the layout too!
That Rhino!!! Lol!!
Gorgeous tag and card, love the warm colours you used. Like the beautiful colours of autumn, as in your great shots of the autumn trees.
Wishing you a sweet day. Hugs,
Wendy
