I am delighted to be participating in the
"Nature's Blessings" Art Journal Swap,
hosted by Karla Nathan of "Karla's Cottage".
We were to make a four page layout
with any nature theme,
with plenty of space for journaling and doodling..
I chose "birds" as my theme.
I think this page has lots of space for journaling:
Page 4 has two pockets for tags
and space around the page for journaling.
And here are all six of them,
ready for mailing.

I added the bow and trim for texture.

and when you lift up the top page,
there are a couple of blank pages underneath.

with a glassine envelope
filled with tags for journaling.Page 4 has two pockets for tags
and space around the page for journaling.

This is great, Lorraine! So pretty! I saw this swap over at Karla's blog. I love swaps myself, but something like this seems a bit daunting to me. Maybe it is because you are making several of the same thing - I don't know, but I am looking forward to seeing them all done up. I hope Karla will share them on her blog.

Oh, I hope I get one of your pages in the swap. You have REALLY turned up the heat and all my artistic insecurities are coming through! I'm doing this too and probably posting my pages next week. Have to photograph them today, then get them out to Karla first! It's been a very fun swap. Interesting you are making all the same. I didn't have enough of the same stuff to do that, so mine are all different. But of course, that will be fine with them going to different people in different books.

These are awesome! Would you be willing to share the books you took your pages out of? I might be able to find them on eBay or somewhere. I love the girl with the nest graphic too. I have the country diary books, aren't they spectacular ? Any help would be appreciated to find such lovely background papers and pictures. Deb
